I am celebrating Memorial Day for all you south of the border by posting a picture taken in one of my favorite cities; Portland. While it doesn't really show Portland proper, it does capture the spirit of that city I think. It's a unique urban environment that still feels very green. - Fern

Situated on the far west coast of Canada, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria is the capital city of the Province of British Columbia. Its benign climate (the warmest winters in Canada) and placid lifestyle make it a favorite retirement location as well as a popular tourist destination. About 400,000 people live in Victoria and adjacent communities.

Great shot. I like how the window panes segment the tree into a mosaic type pattern.
Cool Benjamin. I wonder what blue sky would have looked like? Might have produced too much glare?
I like this shot a lot too. However, Tony (and others) might note that it was not taken by me (Benjamin Madison) but by my team mate on this blog, my daughter, Fern Long. Fern usually handles the posts on Sunday and Monday as well as other times when I am away on holiday.
Very cool picture, and I love Portland too.
Love this kind of "overlapping" of images.
