Northern Starflower (Trientalis borealis)

Here's another spring wildflower that is common locally in our forests and parks, the Northern Starflower (Trientalis borealis). I photographed this one on the lower slopes of Mount Douglas Park.

What a pretty, but tiny, flower!

That IS remarkable, the tiny-ness of that flower. It's almost like an entire subset of flowers are out there that don't get recognized like their 'bigger brothers'.

What a lovely blog you've created! I lived in Victoria for five years and it's nice to return to the details through your photos. Thank you for sharing!
