Further explorations of my little piece of Victoria reveal that Vic West is very much a mixed community, with residential, commercial and industrial neighbours. This collection of photos is my attempt to find the beauty and interest among the heavy duty equipment, scrap lumber, and scrap metal yards. - Fern
These are beautiful! It all looks so sunny thanks to the yellow. And I have to admit that it somewhat says "Here, I am the last trace of summer's work". :)
Situated on the far west coast of Canada, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria is the capital city of the Province of British Columbia. Its benign climate (the warmest winters in Canada) and placid lifestyle make it a favorite retirement location as well as a popular tourist destination. About 400,000 people live in Victoria and adjacent communities. Click the photos to see them larger!
