Mushroom season is definitely upon us and I'm addicted to these micro-environments. All the green seems to have fled from the macrocosm to the microcosm.

About 400,000 people live in Victoria and adjacent communities.

I remember back in CA how many people would get sick, and die, from picking the wrong mushrooms. Got to be so careful.
Wow, what an extraordinary image... so rich in lush green and textures...
I really appreciate the quality of light in these close-ups. They have a bright but soft quality that makes the colours fully "saturated".
Mushrooms are great subjects and fascinating in varieties.
