Here's a plant that was blooming before the crocuses around here, some variety of Hellebore, I think. This one's in a neighbor's garden and has been blooming for about a month. Sometimes Hellebores are called Christmas Roses because of their hardiness and willingness to bloom in very cold weather. I posted a photo of another variety last year in February.

They are pretty flowers with the blush of rose. Spring has sprung.
I've seen these and never knew the name. It must be a real treat to see flowers now that last week's snow is gone.
I have been rather busy the last week so hadn't had a chance to check your blog - you have had wonderful shots - love the birds and I am extremely jealous of all the flowers you have out. Love that shot of all the crocuses in the field!
