Ricky?

Here is something I've seen on some of my walks lately; it's not really graffiti but more like gratuitous art in that the public environment is not used as a canvas but as a gallery, a place to display art that is prepared elsewhere. Graffiti stencil art is a bit like this as well and perhaps there is a little Banksy inspiration in this. I'm not 100% sure about the subject here but I'm guessing it's Ricky of Trailer Park Boys fame.

Yep, I'd say that is Ricky from TPB, and not another one from Vic West. :)
There is something obscurely profound about street grafitti, the old 'reading the writing on the wall' perhaps, or just the shared zeitgeist of it.
Or,.. maybe I need to read more 'real' literature. Hmm.

That's pretty cool actually, although I don't recognize the face. Never saw Trailer Park Boys. Down here you can get fined if you put a sign on a telephone pole (or any city sign pole).

ngawangchodron - Now that is very interesting. It's the same artist for sure. ASTK. I found mine in Vic West, on Catherine Street near Esquimalt Road. Where did you find yours? And, are Randy and Mr. Lahey and Julian out there somewhere?

Technically this is a "paste up" in graffiti terminology
