Like alot of British Colombians the long weekend in August is for one thing; camping. We headed up island to Horne Lake Camp Ground, just inland from Qualicum Beach. This is a fabulous spot for so many outdoor activities, swimming, boating, hiking and exploring the nearby caves. - Fern

Situated on the far west coast of Canada, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria is the capital city of the Province of British Columbia. Very pretty spot! Is there a tick problem on the island? I can't even bring my dogs to my mom's anymore b/c her yard, even w/ the short grass, is infested with them.
A place I must see for myself... the mountain looks very appealing!
