These splendid horses belong to the Victoria Fire Department and were pulling an antique fire engine in the parade. I think they are a kind of horse known as a Percheron.

Wow they are gorgeous! I think you are right that they are Percheron horses, although the speckled rumps remind me of Appaloosas.
They are beautiful horses nicely groomed front and back.
Ha, the second photo made me laugh a bit.
