I spent the morning in a kind of place found in pretty well every city and town on this planet - the mall. Victoria has a half dozen of these and this one, the Bay Mall downtown, is my favorite Christmas shopping venue. It wasn't too crowded this morning but on the weekend it will be packed.I hope you have all your Christmas shopping done!

Situated on the far west coast of Canada, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria is the capital city of the Province of British Columbia. Its benign climate (the warmest winters in Canada) and placid lifestyle make it a favorite retirement location as well as a popular tourist destination. About 400,000 people live in Victoria and adjacent communities.

Such pretty decorations and lights. Do they have a Santa that comes in there for the kids?

We missed you for a week or so there - I hope you weren't indisposed?
No Santa in the mall - at least I didn't see one. The big department store at one end of the mall (The Bay) may have a Santa but I don't know.
