Snowdrops

These little Snowdrops (Galanthus) are still the only flowers around right now but the buds are swelling on the trees and spring is in the air.

I love them! I have seen snowdrops blooming here, and also some yellow crocuses. I didn't have my camera with me at the time so you will just have to take my word for it!! Also some small pink blooms on a bush, my friend said something like verbena and I am on my way out the door to take some those today with my camera. Time I took that camera out for a walk!!

A beautiful forerunner of spring

My Vancouver friend e-mailed to say he is tripping over snowdrops while we still have to deal with snow flakes! Enjoy - I am jealous.

Ah February, the month when spring arrives in Victoria, a full two months ahead of the rest of the country. We are indeed spoiled.

Yesterday I spotted a beautiful blooming pink cherry blossum tree along the inner harbour across from the Ledge.

We're starting to see lots of buds here as well.

This is by far the best photo of snowdrops I have seen so far this year, very nicely done. Paul Leeds daily photo
