And you all thought it was in Colorado

It's not - the real South Park Elementary is in James Bay, Victoria. I waited around to see if I could get Eric, Kyle, Stan and Kenny to pose for this but they were busy.

You Photoshopped that.

uselaine: Cartman says we should sue you for slander but Stan says we should forgive you since you're an American and nobody should be blamed for an accident of birth. I'm reserving judgement on this pending total retraction and abject abasement. Please see:
the official school district site,
and Peter Wong's PBase Gallery for independent photos of the school. Both these photos differ slightly from mine since the school has recently been repainted.

The City of Victoria website locates the school on a map - click your doubting mouse on the blue flag education icon.

Let the grovelling begin!

****uselaine prostrates herself upon the manure-flecked dust of her insignificant town****

A thousand apologies. **cough**spit**

OK uselaine, you're forgiven. I must confess that I just about fell off my bike when I first noticed the name of this school. It's directly across the road from Beacon Hill Park, from which, I suspect, it got its name.

(Can't believe you played the American card.)

It was originally called "South Ward" school (the much more impressive "North Ward" school was located in the Douglas/Hillside area, but it's long gone now).

I presume the name was changed to South Park when the North Ward school was demolished.
