This stretch of the E and N Railway line runs just south of Shawnigan Lake and we went up there looking for some white stuff. I know the rest of the continent gets more than they ever want but here on the wet west coast, we sometimes feel feel a certain lack. - Fern

Speak for yourself Fern! I certainly don't like it enough to go looking for it. :D
But the stretch of the E&N near the Lake is one of the more picturesque sections of the line, I've done it often. Too bad it's done for.
Wonderful photo and good luck in the snow search- no signs at all here in n-w England yet but hopefully in December...

Cool shot! We already had snow when I was in Maine last month. I had to buy boots, an ice scraper/snow brush and a winter coat up there!
