The pictures speak for themselves I think. Wikipedia has an excellent article here on this event which happens all over world. -Fern

For American viewers, these pictures are in no way indicative of the state of the Canadian healthcare system.
I'm not too much into these photos but your previous posts are outstanding and I love the new header photo. (I have been away from the blogosphere for a while). I'm not quite sure what you have done to the custom house and header photo but I love the effect! Thank you for sharing Benjamin and Fern?

Points for Dean's comment...
Meant to add...
Last year your dad missed the walk by minutes because the crowds had left by the time he arrived. He complained about their strict adherence to the schedule which, of course, is contrary to the whole concept of undead zombies.
As I followed the zombie crowd this year, we all came to a crosswalk. The zombie crowd dutifully waited until the lights turned green before they shuffled and lurched across the road. I flashed back to your dad's comments and had a laugh.
Yikes. So, why do they have a zombie march?
Wow, Kudos on whoever did her eye wound! Great pics of gruesomeness :).
Stay inspired!

Brain Angles - Invisible Ink
I saw some of these guys after they had been up on the legislature grounds (demanding the Liberal government give them more brains to eat I guess), but missed their usually delightful walk down Government Street. Apparently this year they weren't allowed to close off the street and stick to the sidewalk along the Empress. Geesh, hope they weren't required to walk single-file too.
The costumes and make-up are terrific and you can see the participants all have a blast. Interestingly, Hallowe'en, similiar idea, is much more celebrated in Quebec. Got to think Catholic culture has a lot to do with it.
LOL at Dean's first comment. This looks like fun! Especially for the youngsters!!! Hope the non-zombies remembered to bring their kitana swords.
