I have misplaced what I planned to post today so here's a classic postcard view of the Inner Harbour Causeway I took last week. Though it's been photographed a million times I can't resist taking this photo when I am down there - it's a pretty nice place to live.

Signs of Summer

When the city breaks out the hanging flower baskets it's a sure sign that summer's here and these manage to look bright and cheerful even under Saturday's dramatically gloomy skies. Those great black clouds were all bluff though; not a drop of rain did they deliver here.

Butterfly Days

After a notably wet and chilly June, Victoria's been having a wonderful summer full of sunny days when it seems like you spend a few minutes pottering about in the garden amongst the buzzing bees and fluttering butterflies and suddenly it's sunset. I hope your summer's as full of these lazy days as ours is.

A Day at the Lake.

One of the best ways to spend a hot summer day is floating on the lake. In this case Durrance Lake, part of Mount Work Regional Park is our favorite. After a refreshing dip, ice cream is mandatory! - Fern
