Yum!

It's strawberry season here so Fern and I went out to the Saanich Peninsula yesterday and spent the afternoon at the U-Pick place. My back won't take much bending over or kneeling these days but these berries were so sweet and juicy I hardly noticed the backache.

Frost in the Strawberry Patch

This is not the first frost we've had this year and it's a little unusual for us to have frost this early in the year. It's been quite cold here also for the last week or so. Seems like we may be in for an icy winter.

Summer!

I have to admit these are not out of my own garden but they are local and they are delicious. Trully one of the tastes of summer. - Fern
