I am enamored with boats, and the sight of this little rowboat anchored in the Gorge Waterway makes me daydream of floating along on a sunny afternoon. - Fern

Summer!

Canada Day Long Weekend is upon us and with the sun shining and that means the patios are open with visitors and locals alike out enjoying all the city has to offer. Pictured here is Canoe Brewpub, a great spot to enjoy the harbour and some local beer and live music! - Fern

Rowing on the Gorge

This seems to have become a very popular sport and the Gorge waterway is a great place to practice. There are always boats of all kinds going to and fro. In the background is Victoria's very squat skyline, but I like it all the same. - Fern

Sawmill Point

Junkyard

This is one of my favorite views; Victoria's metal recycling depot, Ellice Recycle, just past the Bay Street Bridge along the Gorge Waterway. Here's another view to get a better idea of it's location.

Rowing on the Gorge

This is as sure a sign of spring as the daffodils. Every year the Gorge Waterway is full of rowers, from singles to dragon boat teams. It looks like a fabulous way to enjoy a spring evening. - Fern

Gorge Waterway

One of the main roadways in Esquimalt is Tillicum Road, which includes Tillicum Bridge. It crosses the Gorge Waterway and I have often wanted to stop and take pictures but am usually in too much of a rush. However, tonight I made a special trip to do this and while my timing was somewhat off due to the setting sun, I think it shows off Esquimalt-Gorge Park (Formerly Gorge-Kinsmen Park) quite nicely. The Parliment Buildings

On our way to Dairy Queen for a Friday night treat I pulled over on Bay Street to try to capture this iconic building just as the lights were turned on. My copilots were anxious to be on our way so it's not quite the shot I was hoping for but I still like it.
