On a walk out in North Saanich, I was fooling around with depth of field and really like the way it works in this photo of some barbed wire. Something that we normally wouldn't look at suddenly becomes interesting in it's texture and structure. - Fern
I LOVE this one for sure!!!! I remember having trouble w/ the depth of field portion of my photography class in college. I shot a bunch of photos and the teacher told me I nailed it, but I'm still not sure I understand the technical part of it.
Situated on the far west coast of Canada, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria is the capital city of the Province of British Columbia. Its benign climate (the warmest winters in Canada) and placid lifestyle make it a favorite retirement location as well as a popular tourist destination. About 400,000 people live in Victoria and adjacent communities. Click the photos to see them larger!

This is so wonderful! I LOVE the photos that show how interesting the very mundane really can be.

Great shot! I agree...sometimes the most mundane of items becomes a work of art when it's approached from an different prespective. You've succeeded!!
Thank you all for your kind words, you are all so generous with your encouragement.
