Shadow Play
The Inner Harbour Causeway faces westward so that in the late afternoon and evening interesting shadows form on the sidewalk and back wall.

Shadow Play
Whenever I pass this spot on a walk in the late afternoon I always enjoy the shadows cast by some nearby trees. This time I had both a camera and a willing volunteer to have a little fun with it. - Fern

Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow
This might sound a touch strange but at this time of year when the flowers are beginning to bloom and the days are getting longer I always have a touch of sadness for the winter's passing. Why? Because while I am looking forward to so many things in spring I will miss the oft overlooked beauty of the tree's shadow, like this one. Like a snowflake no two are alike. - Fern

Safe Mode 2
Yes, I'm still experiencing computer problems. However, I begin to see some light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully by this time tomorrow I will be back to normal.

Fleming Beach
I never tire of this lovely stretch of coast in Esquimalt. In the spring the municipality put up fencing to protect the indigenous plant life in the area and I think it creates fasinating shadows as the hill curves up and around. - Fern

Summer Evenings
Strolling through town I couldn't help but enjoy how everyone's shadows became longer and longer as the sun set. - Fern
