Situated on the far west coast of Canada, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria is the capital city of the Province of British Columbia. Its benign climate (the warmest winters in Canada) and placid lifestyle make it a favorite retirement location as well as a popular tourist destination. About 400,000 people live in Victoria and adjacent communities.

This picture has so much going for it, beautifully colour-saturated a simple composition with a 'peaceful' horizon line, a dynamic rising subject and something as innocuous as a tiny detail of freighter giving it that extra perspective/sense of proporton.
A great capture of a classic westcoast scene. I'll have to pick-up a copy of the magazine.
