This is one of my favorite spots in downtown Victoria. I always get my camera out and try to capture this interesting piece of the urban landscape, but alas, never to my complete satisfaction. Here is one of the many attempts!

Like you, I have been dissatisfied w/ my shots of Fan Tan Alley, but I can't resist the urge to shoot them anyway!!
It seems nearly impossible to get a great shot of Fan Tan Alley (lighting, composition, etc.), though the narrow street just BEGS to be photographed! Interesting attempt-- I like the hard angles.
