Between the Delta Ocean Pointe Resort and the Johnson Street Bridge is a small passage leading to the Songhees Walkway. Every year caretakers pollard these trees and I always find them oddly attractive in this condition. By mid-summer they will have sprouted hundreds of slender, leafy branches
