Flowering Cherry

The flowering plums are pretty well finished now and the flowering cherries are taking their place. On my way out to Cadboro Bay to photograph the grounded sailboat I passed this glorious specimen and had to stop and take a photograph. That's Cadboro Bay visible on the right.

Uplands

This lovely old house is located just inside the gates of Victoria's poshest neighbourhood, the Uplands. It was built in 1929 and listed last year for $1,595,000. Wow. The giant garry oak and it's shadow cast along the sunlit wall are free for all passing by to enjoy. - Fern

Well, with what's happening on the east coast of North America in the last few days it would be ungrateful of me to complain of our weather - especially since we had some sunny skies yesterday.
