China Beach
Yesterday some friends visiting from out of town desperately wanted to go up the coast and check out China Beach and even though is was rainy and blowing we made the trek. Wow! It was beautiful and I am glad we did it. I've made a pledge to myself that we will do it more often too; it's easy to take for granted the wild and rugged coast we live on but thanks to people who don't live here I see it again! - Fern

McNeill Bay
You would think that it is endless sunshine in Victoria if you only had Victoria Daily Photo to go by wouldn't you? But no, here is lovely McNeill Bay in Oak Bay on a recent rainy day. - Fern

Dallas Road 2
When you first look at a series of photos you can so easily pass things by that on a second look, really stand out. This simple composition captures the wide open feeling of this sun drenched ocean vista. - Fern

Painting With Light
This dramatic sky was a sight to behold from Saxe Point Park yesterday. The shifting light changed the scene from moment to moment, and if only the wind hadn't been so bitingly cold we might have stayed longer to watch the show! - Fern

The Olympic Mountains
On a recent trip to Metchosin we took a hike around in the woods and were pleasantly surprised to come into a clearing and discover this amazing view of the mountains across the Strait of Juan De Fuca. Even as a jaded local I am still blown away on a regular basis by the beauty of the pacific northwest. - Fern
