Glendale Gardens - Mushrooms

Last week I spent an afternoon at the Glendale Gardens in Saanich, about a half hour's drive from Victoria. I'm still on holiday so here's another photo from that excursion.

As can be seen above, the weather was not very inviting when we arrived at the Glendale Garden and Woodland Center but the sun broke through a little later in the afternoon. Sunny or not, this garden is a lovely place to visit. More accurately, these gardens, since there are a number of garden areas that flow into one another up and down a hillside overlooking a small lake. Below is a small sample of what's available. The Japanese Garden alone is well worth a visit. Glendale also offers courses in Gardening and an array of other services. Click here to visit their website.
