Situated on the far west coast of Canada, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria is the capital city of the Province of British Columbia. Pretty! I wonder if Camas, WA was named after the flower.
Posted pix of the flowers I found at Beacon Hill. Thanks for your directions. Saw some Camas and now I know what it is.

@JoJo - I don't know if Camas is named after these flowers but I suspect it is since they grown all over the pacific northwest and Camas is the First Nations name of the plant.
