Wharf Street Scene

Like the daffodils in Beacon Hill Park, I photograph this scene almost every year at this time. I like the way the color of the Old Victoria Custom House seems to complement the blossoms of the flowering tree. Photographed yesterday.

Its benign climate (the warmest winters in Canada) and placid lifestyle make it a favorite retirement location as well as a popular tourist destination. About 400,000 people live in Victoria and adjacent communities.

Lovely blossoms, but I like the couple on the bench better :-)
My wife and I decided to stop for a rest.
