Here in Victoria, where the city is fairly hilly you can often be going along and when you hit a slight rise the Olympic Mountains just appear, magically. Not always of course, due to our ever shifting weather but when they do, wow. - Fern

Situated on the far west coast of Canada, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria is the capital city of the Province of British Columbia. Its benign climate (the warmest winters in Canada) and placid lifestyle make it a favorite retirement location as well as a popular tourist destination. About 400,000 people live in Victoria and adjacent communities.

They're magnificent.
I love this photoblog! I grew up in Victoria and someday, with the help of the guy upstairs, Santa, and possibly the Easter bunny, I will make it back. Thank you a billion times!!!!!
