Hot sunny weather (September has been more like summer than July was) and the harbour full of beautiful boats combined with a large and enthusiastic sailing community brought out the crowds last weekend to enjoy the Victoria Classic Boat Festival.

Situated on the far west coast of Canada, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria is the capital city of the Province of British Columbia. Its benign climate (the warmest winters in Canada) and placid lifestyle make it a favorite retirement location as well as a popular tourist destination. Looks like a lovely summer evening, stunning photo of the boats.
Beautiful boats and weather; my friends in WA have been kvetching about the 'heat' for a week.
