Mexico Monday

Forgive me folks for another day of Mexico but I am still adjusting to being back and haven't gotten out to take any photos. These I picked for their beautiful warm colors which we are all in need of at this time of year I think.

Just a quick note to tell you I’ve nominated you for a “Versatile Blog Award”!

Don’t know what that means? Neither did I when I received this award last week from a fellow blogger named Karen at http://thewellseasonednest.blogspot.com/. I did some research and found a website http://versatilebloggeraward.wordpress.com/ that helped me a lot. I also began to notice, as I surfed around, the “Versatile Blog Award” button on some blogs I was visiting. Visit my blog to see the announcement of your blog as a recipient of this award.

Your blog has captured my attention for a long while and inspired me. I love your photos, and as a former Victoria resident they always make me a bit homesick! I like the look and feel of your blog. You are genuine, not self-serving, and not writing to accumulate “followers”, but rather with passion. It is a good chance for me to say “thanks” for delighting me through your blog!

Hey cool on the award!

When you shoot over 1,000 pics on your trip, how do you choose what to post? I am sure hundreds and hundreds of them are absolutely gorgeous. that's always been the hard part for me, choosing just a few to post.

@msdewerry - Thanks for your kind words and for the Versatile Blogger Award. I wish I had time to respond appropriately according to the rules of the award. Unfortunately, in about 10 days I will be leaving for a lengthy trip to Europe and Asia and I am scrambling to find time to put up anything at all these days, between packing and preparing for some presentations I will be giving.

JoJo - I don't know how Fern decides which photos to select out of a 1000 but I know for me there are always a few that, when you take them, you know immediately that they are going to be good. I almost never know in advance (i.e. before I click the shutter), which explains how one ends up taking a 1000 pics.
