Yesterday's photos were taken on the trail that leads to Botanical Beach, our intended destination. However, we ended up on this beach, which I believe is Botany Bay, the northern end of the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail (47 km). To the left we are looking southeast towards Victoria, about 75 km distant. To the right we are looking further up the west coast of Vancouver Island to where the famous West Coast Trail begins. |

Absolutely beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteIncredible beauty. Gorgeous shots.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of a very special place, the very fringe of our continent, where vast ocean meets land.
ReplyDeleteThe intertidal area and pools hold real treasures of life.
As someone who spent 20 plus years in the Navy, I traveled the South Pacific, Central and South America, Hawaii... These photos remind me of why I choose to live here over anyplace else though. I quit my career and a big paycheque to stay here rather than leave.
ReplyDeleteSweet photos...
Yay! You made it out! Did you get any good shots of the tide pools themselves? It was difficult with the way the sunlight reflects off the water....These photos are gorgeous! Now that we know there are additional tide pools at another beach, we might have to go out again.
ReplyDeleteThe scene is really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour photography is splendid!!
Thank you for showing a wonderful moment...
From the Far East.
Greetings.
