Sea Princess

To provide a little contrast to yesterday's post on the tiny little Harbour Ferries, just around the corner from Fisherman's Wharf is Ogden Point, where monstrous cruise ships such as this, the Sea Princess, tie up to disgorge their passengers.
I'm going down to Seattle for the next few days so until Thursday these posts will be going up automatically (I hope!).

  1. The 'ants' lined up on top add to the sense of proportion.
These cruiseships are usually between 12 & 14 stories high, with 2-2.5 thousand passengers and a similiar number of crew.

  2. It's amazing how big those ships are! I saw a few in San Francisco and they were like floating cities.

Hey have fun in Seattle!!! I'll be playing tourist up there on Thursday and Friday with one of my friends. Can you believe I've lived here 11 years and I know Victoria better than I do Seattle? lol
