Fisherman's Wharf II

I mentioned yesterday that fisherman's Wharf has a number of shops and eateries. Above is Barb's Fish and Chips - one of the more popular, though everything I've tried on the wharf has been tasty. The kids to the right are obviously enjoying their ice cream cones while waiting to get aboard the nearby Harbor Ferry. Fisherman's Wharf is one of the scheduled stops for these cute little ferries that will carry you anywhere you like to go in the harbor or up the Gorge.

  1. I love that little tour. Our driver tried to beat the Coho. It was hilarious! Since when does a Canadian spell 'harbor' without a U?

  2. Great shots of a fun & popular place.
That Shoal Point condo looming in the background has something of an ominous reputation for obvious reasons. Progress ... ?

I also have wondered 'aboot' some of the 'American' spelling, and want to see Benjamin's papers.

  3. Looks as if the taste is good, with that many people waiting in line. Surely a beautiful scenery. Must be great to live there.

  4. Shoal Point itself is worthy of shots:

It reminds me of that building in Ghostbusters -- the one which was the gateway between the underworld and New York. It has a slightly ominous look to it because of its sheer size.

Also, it never seems to have people in it. I've never seen anyone moving about in the upper floors, never seen people relaxing outside on the huge patios...

    Weird...
