B. T. Williams Quartet
It seems that saxaphones are the new "guitar" - every time I turn around these days I see and hear saxaphone players and saxaphone groups. Anyway, I really enjoyed the music this quartet were putting out despite Saturday's glowering clouds. This is the B. T. Williams Quartet, consisting of - you guessed it - four saxaphones, from a high-pitched soprano to a great honking bass. They have a great sound, especially if you want to cut through ambient traffic noise, but this group is so good you listen to the music instead of marvelling at the unusual composition of the group.

The one on the far left is also a sax? I've never seen one with the horn straight down instead of curve.
I can imagine their sound!
@JoJo - yes the one on the far left is the soprano sax - looks like a fat metallic clarinet.
@William - it's surprising that they don't just sound like four saxaphones - hard to describe.
Great to see the B.T. Williams Saxophone Quartet is getting some attention downtown! I'm a big fan!
