Songhees Point

The weather here has warmed up and we've been getting some sunshine too so I took a walk around Songhees Point with another of these old Takumar lenses. It sure is nice to see the sun again.

Neat sculpture (or whatever it is). What is it anyway? Enjoy getting to know Victoria through your pix!

That's quite a good vantage point to spend time at!

Interesting sculpture. No sun here, just fog.

Nice day for a walk. We're freezing our cookies off on the east coast right now.

Thanks all for your kind comments.
@Furry Gnome - there are 7 of these sculptures around downtown Victoria marking sites of cultural significance to the First Nations people that were resident here prior to European arrivals. Each one is different and you can find out more about them here: http://www.victoria.ca/EN/main/departments/parks-rec-culture/culture/art-culture/signs-of-lekwungen.html

@William Kendall - it's favorite spot of mine.

@Stephanie and JoJo - wish I could send you some of our weather - more sunshine today and it's still warm.
