Yes, ice on the surface at Sailor's Cove. I suspect that the water near the shoreline is very near to fresh because of runoff, but ice here still indicates how cold it has been in Victoria for the last week or so. And today, when I look out the window I see we are getting some of that white stuff too. I can't complain - we are still getting off easy compared to the rest of the continent. (And the photographer in me is happy at the thought of some snow pics).

The ice looks quite appealing in this shot. Enjoy what snow you get!

I've seen that same notice when I've tried to share your posts on Facebook in the past. Not sure what it is... the post itself never gives me any problems.

One of my friends posted a picture of ice chunks floating down the Puyallup River near Tacoma. Crazy! It's been so cold here on the east coast that my electric bill is $444. I almost died.

We had minus 8 this morning. Too cold for here. Parts of our Estuary is frozen like what is in your image.
