With half the Johnson Street Bridge gone I am always reminded of the gap-toothed smile of a six year old, though it's not quite so engaging. Despite the near manic urgency of the decision to build a new bridge some years ago nothing seems to be happening except the projected cost is rising (up about $15 million over the original budget).
