Summer finally arrived this last week and Victorians have been reveling in bona fide HOT summer days. And that, of course, includes beach time. While Victoria is surrounded by the ocean it doesn't have that many sandy beaches that are suitable for swimming and lolling in the sun. Willows Beach in Oak Bay is one that has everything a beach should have and here's how Victorians were enjoying it this week.

Man, it has been so hot here too. The misleading thing about Little Lake Valley is that there is no lake, just some winter wetlands. No fair.
We enjoyed a walk around this beach in 1976 and it doesn't look like anything changed.
Beautiful. I love the texture of the water in your photo. Does indeed look refreshing.
I like it that there are quite a few people at this beach, but it's not so crowded that you can't move - like some beaches I've visited.
