Theme Park
I've mentioned before that sometimes during the summer months I get the feeling I'm living in a giant theme park when I'm in downtown Victoria. I got that feeling yesterday evening when I was enjoying the mesmerizing music-box mime of Pierre St. Pierre and one of those horse-drawn carriages trotted past.

Terrific shot... though there's something about mimes that just seems off kilter.
I agree with William...it's a great shot but it makes me uneasy. Probably cause mimes look a lot like clowns, who also creep me out. These guys amaze me though, the ones that stand completely still till someone puts a loony in the bucket for them to play, or move.
I just found your blog and like it. Terrific photos and your header/banner is very appealing!
Thanks all for your comments.
@William and JoJo - I must post a video of Pierre St. Pierre sometime - I think you might revise your opinions of mimes if you could see how he charms passerbys - especially children. The wonderfully nostalgic accordian music he plays also contributes a lot.
@Kate: Thanks. I hope you will continue to visit here. Like Victoria, it's quite a quiet place.
