After & Before

I mentioned that the new owners have been refurbishing the Empress Hotel. Above is what it looked like this weekend. Below is what it looked like seven years ago.

    It's horrible. I'm heartbroken. It's so sterile. They should've left it alone.

    I'm not sure which version I prefer. The new version radiates solidarity and tradition... the old version is about aging gracefully.

    That is a big difference. The old one had more class but maybe we will have to give the new design a few years.
