Causeway Christmas

Here's Victoria's Inner Harbour Causeway with the Legislature's special Christmas lights. The rain spots on the lens in the upper left corner appeared almost immediately since it began to rain, and then sleet, as soon as I opened my camera bag and I fled for home after a few quick clicks of the shutter. (Compare with THIS.)

  1. This is beautiful. I got a little teary eyed. I do miss this city. And the other thing I thought of is how much work it must take to do the lights on the Leg. Bldg!!! What does the Empress look like?

Also, why is your blog blocked as being spam on Facebook? I can't ever post the link to your blog there, or to my friend's Timeline (she used to live in Vic and is now in Ottawa).

  2. Hi JoJo - frankly, I was so cold and wet that I didn't even look at the Empress - usually it is also lighted with colored spotlights that change from one color to another.

As for Facebook - I have no idea why they would block this site - it's all I can do to put up one post every day - spamming of any kind is way beyond my abilities even if I wanted to do it. I have more trouble with comment spam where people make comments here simply in order to promote their own URL - usually selling something. That's why I use capchas - though they are tiresome they prevent most spam comments.

  3. Beautiful shot, Ben!

As to Facebook, Zuckerberg really needs to stop making "improvements"... if it's not one thing, it's another fouling up over there.
