Brentwood Bay

Here's a pleasant day trip we took yesterday. We traveled from Victoria to Brentwood Bay in Saanich and took a small car ferry across Saanich Inlet to Mill Bay. Then we drove to Chemainus to see the "world famous" murals and have lunch. After that we headed back to Victoria on the Malahat Highway stopping briefly to have a look at the amazing Kinsol Trestle.

  1. I was just looking at my photos of Malahat, Chemainus & the trip across from Mill Bay to Brentwood, a little earlier today. What a lovely area.

  2. I love Chemainus, we just got back from there on Tuesday, spending four days there. Nice shots!

  3. Brentwood Bay is one of my favourite places on the planet, and your photos give a good idea as to why that should be. I will be moving to the Victoria area in just under a year from now and I firmly hope to be able to settle somewhere nearby.

  4. Ten years ago I had a small run-about boat I would launch and putter about in Saanich Inlet. From the sheltered calms of tiny Todd inlet and the narrowed fjord of Finlayson Arm, all the way to Cowichan Bay, it was true adventure and fun.
