23½

There's a lot to like about Victoria's Chinatown but one of the things that I always enjoy is the penchant for fractional addresses. This one is found in Fan Tan Alley. So far as I know, in our city these are only found in Chinatown.

  4. I lived in London, Ontario for a time about ten years ago and my address was 14 1/2. It was actually a real nuisance in the modern day because electronic forms are not designed to accept it and telephone response systems do not accommodate it. I was charmed by it (partly the reason I bought the house) but it doesn't work in this world. Glad to be back with a normal whole integer address again.
