Mr. Mallard
Above is probably the most common duck in this area and a year-round resident. Consequently I often ignore them because they are so tame and ubiquitous. I too tend to ignore them if there are more interesting geese or strange visitors to our stretch of water, but you are right the are a very nice ducks.
