Bear Hill View

The Bear Hill Regional Park I visited a few weeks ago offers some lovely views of the rural countryside of the Saanich Peninsula. If you haven't noticed before, I'm very fond of views framed by trees and flowers in the foreground....

  1. Nice little hike that one, about a half hour, parking on the NW side approach road. I saw a Pileated Woodpecker there once.

Ever been to the Timberman Trail @ Mt.Work, going down to McKenzie Bight on Saanich Inlet? A steep hike with a cool tall waterfall along the way.

  2. See, this is the reason why I need to either take my car across on the ferry or rent one when I get there on the Clipper.
