Will they grow into edible fruits?
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are beautiful. It would be nice to see them grow into tasty fruits.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see. They sure are tasty. I have wild strawberries growing where I live. We call them Smultron.
ReplyDeleteThanks all for your comments. And yes they do taste very good if you can get any - the birds love them too.
ReplyDeleteWe attended a talk at UVic last week with the Native Plant society. It was awesome, Andy Mackinnon made a speech about edible and medicinal plants and at the end they had a raffle and we won TWO native plants. One of them is a strawberry - it's very small though so I'm not sure if it's the same one as your picture. When it grows up maybe we'll be able to tell.
