Early Morning Eagle

This is the Saxe Point resident Bald Eagle once again, here seen just as the rising sun struck him a few mornings ago. Photographing birds is a new endeavor for me so I hope regular visitors will bear with me while I explore and learn (and repeatedly photograph this eagle and a few other dependable subjects....)

  1. These are great photos but if you could get shots from a higher vantage they'd be even more impressive.

Maybe you could climb right up that tree...get a picture of the eagle coming in towards the camera, talons extended... seconds before s/he tears the flesh from your face. What an action shot that would be!!

Kidding, but it would be great if you could climb something nearby and get more eye-level with your friend there...

  2. I can't get enough bald eagle pics! Of course if Benjamin Franklin had had his way, our national symbol would have been a turkey. lol

  3. Okay, Beaver Lake on the edge of town should have been a tip-off for me. There ARE beavers on V.I.
Industrious little buggers, like all Canadians. Uh, yawh.
