K Mountain

K Mountain, Keremeos, Similkameen Valley, BC, CanadaK Mountain dominates the Similkameen Valley above the small settlements of Keremeos and Cawston, where I spent most of my recent holiday. It is not called "K" due to the same naming convention that gave the more famous K2 its name, but because of the way the rock formations appear to form the letter "K" on its slopes. This valley is very fertile wherever it is irrigated. It was originally well-known for its tree fruits but more recently has become home to many small vineyards and wineries.
