Here's a photo that was deleted to the trash because the colors were so washed out and I was shooting almost directly into the sun. But the image kept sneaking back into my mind so I retrieved it from the trash and put aside my obsessions with color and blue skies.
wow! Good that you retrieved the photo again because you might not have delivered us such a stunning photo as this is! I love it! Especially the little kids in the background that made a statement even with the very big subject in the foreground! Great Job!
ReplyDeleteHope to see you soon too on my Blog! Have a great day!
Steven^^
Thanks for saving it and sharing it. That's the real world from the perspective of a child.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should take a look at my rejects. Maybe not, there are too many of them.
ReplyDeleteNice work Benjamin.
This is what I call happy serendipity. It's a powerful, stark image softened by the figure of the child. Maybe a setup for a sci-fi tale: what is he looking at, why is everything so bright?
ReplyDeleteThis is trully, trully, a stunning photograph! The singularity of the foreground subject against those smaller figures at the distance are just a masterpiece of composition! Thank you for sharing this inspirational photograph.
ReplyDeleteThanks all for your kind remarks. I'm still feeling my way in black and white and its a real relief to get so much positive feedback.
ReplyDeleteI like it. Black and white suits this shot.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, Benjamin, it's perfection. I'm glad it haunted you and made you post it.
ReplyDeleteNormally I would agree about the wash, but the composition is so striking it deserved this airing. It's actually a really powerful image. This would be a perfect poster campaign shot.
ReplyDeleteI came back to look at it again. I still love it. It's Ray Bradbury-esque.
