The City Daily Photo Blog theme for July 1 is signs with "No..." on them. I couldn't resist this one on a store doorway in Victoria's Chinatown. Other City Daily Photo Bloggers' photos on this theme can be seen by clicking here.
The bees are back in Brookville, Ohio. I hope for the rest of the year at least. I even got one on my Better Blog Writing post today. LOL
I see you found an adorable No sign.
Isn't it almost funny to think of adult people scurrying around their communities taking pictures of signs. And if somebody had asked what that is all about and you said a sign with "no" on it, they might... well. It is kind of funny.
Benjamen, Oh my! Very daring! Perhaps Elaine is right about folks snapping the postcards. . .but I could also see the scenario of a shopkeeper's frustration over tourists snapping photos of colorful Chinatown shops and wares rather than purchasing goods. I've never taken shots in shops there. . .ooops I take that back (blush). Well, I'll have to be more courteous or at least more on the lookout and respectful of signs like this next time, (which I think will be this autumn when I come up for a concert at the U).
As for great minds, I bow to you. :-) I'm glad to see this image, you sneaky pete, you. Nice composition and the hat gives it a feeling of place. I wonder if we will see other no photo signs among the lot. Best, -Kim Seattle Daily Photo

Oh my gosh! I finally figured it out, that people must have been taking pictures of the picture postcards as a way of "stealing" them!
ReplyDeleteVery clever shot, and I like the hat.
A sign I might see one day aimed at me and my camera in my hometown
