Many people in the markets where I was in Africa also bought bales (wholesale) and then sold the individual items.

Sharon - yes, I like the lights - initially I kept trying to take the photo without the reflection showing but when I looked at them later on the monitor, I decided the ones with the lights were better.

BD: I agree!Benjamin Madisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10557453060872726741noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5583858833715089401.post-66032755477626947142008-10-14T09:04:00.000-07:002008-10-14T09:04:00.000-07:00Isn't it great that this city blog stuff makes us ...Isn't it great that this city blog stuff makes us explore our worlds?Debbie Courson Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00776324320153239092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5583858833715089401.post-82776471160507722042008-10-14T06:37:00.000-07:002008-10-14T06:37:00.000-07:00The florescent lights seem to be emphasizing the p...The florescent lights seem to be emphasizing the photo.Sharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07645915869786296771noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5583858833715089401.post-8387696631231400972008-10-14T00:19:00.000-07:002008-10-14T00:19:00.000-07:00When I saw the thumbnail, it almost looked like co...When I saw the thumbnail, it almost looked like contrails in military formation. That just wouldn't do in Victoria, and your explanation is much better.

I read recently that about 80% of the clothes we donate to local thrift shops gets sold in bulk to dealers, who then sell it to third world countries.
